The auction, held be Bearne's Auction House in the Devonshire town of Exeter, near Christie's former home Greenway, will be conducted Tuesday, September 12.
The sale includes books, artwork, art objects, silver, ceramics and glass, and furniture, which once belonged to the best-selling mystery writer. A catalog, with many pictures, is featured on the Bearne's website. It's a great peak into the life of Dame Agatha.
Agatha Christie was born in 1890 and died in 1976. She wrote 80 mystery novels as well as several plays, short stories, and non-fiction works. She is best known for her characters, Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.
