Barbara Seranella Dies

Liver Disease Takes Mystery Author

Mystery writer, Barbara Seranella, died January 21 of advanced liver disease. She was just 50 years old.


Ms. Seranella is best known for her detective novels, featuring machinic turned private investigator, Munch Mancini. Ms. Seranella, herself once a mechanic, penned ten mystery novels. Her last, Deadman's Switch, is set to be released in April of 2007.

Ms. Seranella was a native of Southern California. She is survived by her husband, Ron, and two step-daughters.

On her Web site, her family asks that fans mark their drivers license to be an organ donor in tribute to Ms. Seranella.
