Exchanging Trees for Books -- One at a Time

© Sandy Mitchell

Aug 11, 2007

Each year over 20 million trees are cut down to provide the paper for the books we read. A new company, Eco-Libris, is looking to help even the exchange.

They are making it easy and affordable for you -- and me -- to purchase trees to be planted around the world in exchange for the books we read. Each tree is $1 and "sold" in groups of five. They'll even send you an eco-libris sticker (recyclable, of course) to put in your books to remain you of your donation.

For more information, see the Eco-Libris Web site.
