- Agatha Christie - September 15 - Author of 67 novels and numerous plays and short stories, Dame Agatha is the second bestselling novelist in the English language (behind William Shakespeare). She is best known for her characters Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple as well as her intricate and timeless plots. Look for more on her in September during Agatha Christie week (starts September 15). - Robert B. Parker - September 17 - The author of over 50 mystery novels, including 34 featuring Boston private detective, Spenser.
- J.I.M. Stewart (aka Michael Innes) - September 20 - A former Oxford professor and author of 40 British crime classics written between 1936 and 1986, most of which feature Scotland Yard detective John Appleby.
